- Prayer requests you have submitted
- Push notification tokens and preferences
What we retain (as required by law)
- Donation records — retained for 7 years to comply with US IRS record-keeping requirements for nonprofit organizations. Stripe (our payment processor) retains its own records per their obligations.

Privacy Policy

Oasis of the Living Hope Church, Inc. ("we", "us", "the church") operates the Oasis of the Living Hope mobile app. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, who else touches it, and how you can request its removal.
Data we collect
- Account info — name and email address you provide at sign-up, used to identify you and personalize the app.
- Prayer requests — the text you submit, plus metadata about your posting choices (audience, anonymity toggle).
- Push notification tokens — a device identifier issued by Apple or Google, used only to deliver notifications you have opted into.
- Crash and performance diagnostics — anonymous device and OS information reported via Sentry when the app encounters an error, used to fix bugs.
Data we do NOT collect
- Payment card details. Donations are processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers, expiration dates, or CVVs.
- Location. The app does not request or use your device's location.
How we use your data
To provide the features of the app — showing prayer requests to the right audience, delivering push notifications you have enabled, recording that a donation was made so it appears in your giving history, and diagnosing crashes. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.
Third-party services
- Clerk — authentication (sign-in, session management).
- Stripe — payment processing for donations.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notifications on Android.
- Apple Push Notification service — push notifications on iOS.
- Railway — hosting for our server and database.
- Amazon Web Services (S3) — hosting for admin-uploaded images (announcements, event graphics).
Where your data is stored
All data is stored on servers located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and encrypted at rest by our hosting providers.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see the Account Deletion section above. You can also request a copy of your data by emailing [email protected].
Children
The app is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this section. Continued use of the app after that date means you accept the updated policy.
